JING LOONG SHAN WAN FO SHIH, SERENDAH
This newly built 5-storey temple consist of 3-storey above ground and 2-storey basement. Many cracks appear on Level 1's beam and cores sample have been taken for engineer’s inspection.
After assessment, the consulting engineer decided to seal all the cracks on beam and strengthen the beam by combination of sectional enlargement & CFRP composite system to the RC elements.

Beam surface to be prepared by Ultra High Pressure water jet.
Aggregate are exposed on the prepared substrate.
Additional reinforcing bars are installed according to engineer’s design.
Sectional enlargement was done by formwork grouting.
The enlarged beam after formwork dismantle.
This beam is strengthened using CFRP.
All beams that required sectional enlargement need to be propped and supported by heavy duty tubular scaffold system.
